This October, CURA’s Outreach Coordinator, Kennedy Cole, attended the Engagement Scholarship Consortium Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. This year’s theme was “Changing Lives and Improving Society: Data-Driven Engagement and Innovation."

Throughout the conference, attendees were shown innovative ways in which data can be used to strengthen and advance community engagement. Keynote speaker Dr. Jillian Kinzie, Associate Director of the National Survey of Student Engagement (Indiana University), presented on how colleges and universities can use data to improve community-engaged learning and enhance outcomes for students, institutions, and communities.
